Blacklisted

My email address for this domain has been blacklisted. “I” am somehow sending email from Brazil and have not gone further south than Puerto Rico in the past year, so that seems quite impossible.

I’ve contacted spamcop.net and all the folks on the other end of the pointed fingers to rectify the situation.  Not much luck. The hosting company (siteground.com) says it’s an ISP (verizon) issue, the ISP says all I can do is whitelist my own email address and that “should do it.”

Well it’s been a month. Maybe longer.

It’s strange, because I get some of the mail that’s sent to that address, especially those that are set up as part of a list, not a list serv, but someone’s personal mailing list. So I’m not sure what to thing. I’m waiting it out. I’ve been told the reason this happened is because my email is apparently sharing a server with… a spammer, and the ISP known as Verzizon could give a damn about that. “They never block mail” is their answer, not matter if it’s in the name of abuse and that abuse is used on their paying customers.
