… time to place the order for Schmidt Lebkuchen, something we’ve either received in a package from Germany from my Aunt and grandparents, or found in local specialty stores. Well, the local stores don’t carry this particular brand, frankly the best of the Lebkuchen out there, so we resort to ordering from our friends in Miami Lakes, FL.

Well, four days off is a great gift. We got 4 inches of snow in Lebanon on Turkey Day and, amongst a couple of house projects, were able to enjoy what we are thankful for.
We celebrated Thanksgiving day with friends in Lebanon at their house with 20 of their closest friends. (see photos).
We also made it down to my parents house in Hancock, NH for a couple of days as well, where we had our second, and thank-God smaller, Thanksgiving feast, and got two nice country strolls in. On one, we came upon the local wild turkeys, but alas, no camera.
We enjoyed our time relaxing with my parents and my sister and her husband for a short bit, and hearing the story of how my dad is restoring this rickety clock (circa 1783) for a Mr. Temple Pond…
